  Unfortunately, the owners of this campground do not seem to like children/families. This campground has a pool, a volleyball court, and clean washroom facilities as well as a pavilion, however the owners refused to allow our children to go swimming even though it was well within the hours of operation according to the signs. When we went to the pavilion, located on the outer part of the campground on the second evening to play some cards and chat (because we apparently had been too loud around our campfire site the previous evening). The owner told us that we were being disrespectful for not "following his rules," since we had not asked his permission to use his pavilion. We tried to apologize indicating that we were unaware that permission needed to be asked since the pavilion was part of the campground, it was not being used, and there were no signs anywhere indicating that people could not use it. The owner also brought his phone and was video and audio recording the conversation. His spouse was seen earlier in the day taking pictures of our children (between 4 and 11 years of age) at the park without any parent's consent. When asked directly about the video recording and taking pictures of the children without consent, he became defensive but fully admitted to doing so saying he was doing it "in case". I have no idea what he meant by this. We will definitely NEVER return to this park again.

  Mentioning names is "defamation of character" without proof. As a business owner you should be aware of this terminology. I encourage you to do some research on this subject matter. Secondly, you should look up the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPEDA). The information you collected (in the case of your business - camper registration). Did you have the consent from them to use their names in your response to the review? Removing or rewriting your response with appropriate business etiquette will not only protect the representation of your facility but also show you handle reviews in a professional manner.
